The appeal for identification

Falling from a moving train is one of the most dangerous accidents on the railways, and passengers travelling near open doors or on footboards are at the greatest risk. The railways have repeatedly warned passengers against travelling in such positions, but the warnings are often ignored on crowded trains.
Whether the man was travelling near a door or fell for another reason is not yet known, and the police inquiry will look into the circumstances of the fall.
What happens next
The body is with the authorities, and the formal procedures will follow. If no one comes forward to identify the man, he will remain unidentified, and the case will be closed as an unidentified death after the due process.
For the family, wherever they are, the news has not yet reached them. A man who boarded a train in Mangaluru for Agra Cantt did not complete the journey, and his family may still be waiting for him to arrive.
