Yadav's own presence on social media is nominal, only 984 people follow him on X, and he is largely inactive from X to LinkedIn, yet the tech billionaire is among his followers.
That has left many people asking who Rishabh Yadav is, why Musk follows him, and whether he has a connection with India. His profile suggests he does, and that he knows Hindi as well.
Who Is Rishabh Yadav?
According to his LinkedIn profile, Rishabh Yadav is working on building SpaceXAI and joined the company in August this year. He builds AI coding tools and lives in San Francisco in the United States.
Yadav is of Indian origin and knows Hindi along with English and Spanish. He has also worked at Apple and Cisco earlier in his career, but the main reason behind Musk following him is believed to be Cursor.
What Is Rishabh Yadav's Connection With Cursor?
Before joining SpaceXAI, Yadav was at Cursor, an AI coding assistant company. He was a founding engineer at Cursor between 2023 and 2024, and then worked there as a research lead from 2024 until August 2026.
Musk's company SpaceX acquired Cursor this year for 60 billion dollars, roughly Rs 5 lakh crore, and the deal was completed in August. After the acquisition, Yadav joined SpaceXAI, which is also a Musk company.
