Sai Pallavi will soon be seen as Sita in the film Ramayanam, and playing the role is not just another film for her but a big responsibility. Sai Pallavi said that to bring the respected character to the screen with full dignity, she took the help of meditation.

She believes the film will not just be a cinematic experience but will become part of history, which future generations will also watch. That belief shaped how she approached the role.

Prayer before performance

Sai Pallavi recently appeared on the popular quiz reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati, where she spoke with host and megastar Amitabh Bachchan about her preparation for the role of Sita. She said she had a feeling of great respect and responsibility about the role.

She said she only prayed for the role, asking God that whatever difficulties came her way while playing it should go away. She wanted no obstacle in playing the character and wanted to bring it to the screen with full dignity.

A film that will outlive its makers

Sai Pallavi said the film being made is not just a film but will also become part of history. Future generations and people of the future will also watch it, she said, and at that time none of those making it will be here, but the film will remain.

That is why the character must carry dignity, she said, which is why she was only praying for the role. The thought that the film will live on long after its makers gave her preparation its seriousness.

Meditation to stay calm under pressure

The actress said that while playing Sita, she made meditation part of her daily routine. It helped her keep her thoughts calm and handle herself in difficult situations.

She said that without meditation, even more thoughts start coming to her mind. So while playing Sita, she mostly meditated, and learned from the role that when in a stressful situation, instead of reacting immediately, one should simply watch and understand it.

Whenever a difficult or stressful situation came before her, she said, she thought about how Sita would have reacted in such a situation. She feels that is the biggest lesson she learned from the character.
