On the occasion of Halloween, actress Janhvi Kapoor did something that reminded fans of her mother, the late actress Sridevi. Janhvi recreated Sridevi's hugely famous Naagin look from the 1986 film Nagina, and the tribute became a talking point on social media as soon as it appeared.
From the pink dress to the jewellery, makeup and hairstyle, Janhvi paid attention to every small and big detail of the look. The recreation brought back memories of one of Indian cinema's most memorable characters.
Poster and scene recreated in detail
Janhvi paid tribute to Sridevi's memorable character through this special look. She recreated not just the film's poster but also a scene from the film with Amrish Puri. In her post, Janhvi described it as one of Indian cinema's most memorable moments, and remembered her mother along with Rishi Kapoor and Amrish Puri.
To recreate Sridevi's Nagina look, Janhvi wore a pink outfit and adopted jewellery, makeup and hairstyle matching Sridevi's look in the film. To make the look even more special, she took the help of her friend Orry, who recreated Rishi Kapoor's look.
Janhvi also recreated behind-the-scenes moments with Amrish Puri apart from the film's poster, along with a scene from the film. The detailing showed how carefully the tribute had been planned.

Sharing the pictures, Janhvi wrote in her caption, Happy Halloween, adding that she had to recreate one of cinema's most memorable moments. She wrote that nowadays Halloween means dressing up like a favourite character or a famous pop culture moment, sometimes scary, sometimes funny and sometimes a tribute, and asked who could be more iconic than her mother, Rishi uncle and Amrish sir.
Bollywood stars also could not stop themselves from praising Janhvi's special look. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Orry and Ruhanika Dhawan were among the stars who praised the look, and fans too flooded the post with love for the tribute to Sridevi.
