International reviews of the Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi starrer film Ramayanam have come out. The embargo on reviews of this epic was lifted on Friday night, and some international publications shared their reviews of the Ranbir Kapoor and Yash starrer film.

The film had its grand world premiere in Los Angeles a few days ago, after which reviews from foreign film critics have also started coming out. In these early reviews, while many people are praising the film, a large number have also pointed out its shortcomings.

Visuals, VFX and scale win hearts

The film's grand sets, spectacular visual effects and such a big scale are being praised a lot. However, many people seem troubled by the length of the first part of this film made in two parts, and questions have been raised about it on social media.

Many have given Ranbir's film ratings up to 9 out of 10. Screened and Scored gave the film 9 out of 10, calling it an amazing cinematic experience and expressing excitement to watch it again.

Critics divided on craft vs story

The film's technical aspects and spectacular cinematography were liked a lot by foreign critics. NYC Movie Guru critic Avi Offer described Nitesh Tiwari's film as an action adventure film with spectacular visuals and excellent set and costume design.

Screen Rant's Brandon Zachary gave the film 7 out of 10, saying on social media that on a visual and technical level, Ramayanam is a spectacular cinematic experience. IndieWire also gave the film a B grade, calling it excellent and a grand experience.

Length and story remain the problem

While the film's visuals gave people a good feeling, some critics are not happy with its story. The length of the film being released abroad has been shortened and kept at about two and a half hours.

Despite this, some people described the film as stretched more than needed and tiring. The split verdict means Ramayanam is being celebrated for its craft while its storytelling and runtime remain the main talking points among international critics.
