Content creator Amir Shaukeen, already facing criticism over his comments about a youth from Tripura, is in the middle of a fresh controversy after another of his videos surfaced on social media. Social media user Jitendra Pratap Singh has alleged that the video shows Shaukeen recording a Hindu woman who works at a showroom without her permission and passing double meaning comments that made her uncomfortable.
Singh posted the video on X, raised serious questions about it and demanded action from the police. The allegations in his post have not been independently verified, and Shaukeen's response to the new claims was not available in the reports reviewed.
What Is Alleged in the New Amir Shaukeen Video?
According to Singh, Shaukeen allegedly filmed the woman at the showroom and gave the video a title around how to woo a girl. He alleged that Shaukeen kept passing double meaning comments at her during the recording.
The woman can reportedly be seen trying to hide her face in the video. Singh questioned what kind of content it is when a woman is recorded without her consent and comments are passed at her in that manner. These remain Singh's allegations, and the woman's own account has not come out publicly so far.
Why Did the Post Mention the Woman's Job?
In his post, Singh said the woman is an employee who may not be able to protest openly because she fears losing her job. He alleged that Shaukeen kept recording despite her visible discomfort.
The woman's actual circumstances, and whether she consented to the recording, have not been independently confirmed. Even so, the allegations have raised questions about the privacy, dignity and safety of women who work in public facing jobs at workplaces such as showrooms.
What Did Jitendra Pratap Singh Demand?
Singh used strong words in his post, saying such conduct should not be passed off as normal social media content and calling it sexual harassment rather than content. He also alleged that Shaukeen has done similar things earlier and described him as habitual, a claim that has not been independently verified and remains the poster's own allegation.
Singh also raised the question of whether such alleged acts are part of "love jihad", a question he posed in the context of his own allegations. He demanded that Delhi Police take action against Shaukeen under the laws related to sexual harassment, and the real position of the case will become clear only after the recording and the circumstances in which it was made and circulated are examined.
How Is This Linked to the Tripura Youth Controversy?
Shaukeen first drew attention after a video in which he allegedly made abusive comments about a youth from Tripura and presented the state's name in an obscene manner. In that matter, the Tripura Students' Forum filed an FIR, Meghalaya MP James Sangma urged the Delhi Police Commissioner to act, and Union Minister Kiren Rijiju demanded appropriate punishment for the accused.
The new video has widened the controversy around the creator. Readers should treat the claims about the latest video as allegations until the police or the woman herself speak on the matter.
